Lyon's commitment to Lyon Roses 2015

Lyon Roses 2015 will welcome for the first time in France, and most notably in Lyon, the 17th World Convention of Rose Societies, from May 27 to June 1, 2015.

The World Federation of Rose Societies counts 100,000 members in 39 countries. This major international convention represents an extraordinary opportunity to showcase Lyon, one of the world's most recognized and important cradles of rose-growing!

This event has been designed to highlight the economic, social, cultural and scientific activity around roses in the Lyon basin.

In parallel, the City of Lyon will deploy a Rose Festival in collaboration with its main institutions (Tête d'Or Park, Gadagne Museum, Museum of Fine Arts, libraries and media libraries).

Lyon will present its love story with roses to the general public through its parks and gardens, floral decorations, gardening techniques, fragrance secrets and fashion workshops related to flowers and will propose musical strolls and numerous events focusing on roses.

Lyon also opened the door to many actors of the rose world, external from Lyon, but representing rose in France.
